Dentsu Latin America Propaganda

Dentsu’s original involvement with sports marketing in South America dates back to 1980, when Dentsu and Nihon Television partnered to organize a championship match between the winners of the European Cup and the South American Copa Libertadores, called the Toyota Cup.  Originally known as the Intercontinental Cup, Toyota Cup continued its success in Japan until FIFA absorbed the competition and created into a six-continent championship called the FIFA Club World Cup in 2005.

Dentsu Sports Brazil (DSB), based in San Paulo, understands the importance of linking sports entertainment with business in South America.  We provide a comprehensive range of marketing services by utilizing our experience and our global network.

In the next four years, Brazil will host two of the largest sporting events in the world: 2014 FIFA World Cup and Rio 2016 Summer Olympic Games.  DSB will assist two worldwide sponsors, SONY (World Cup) and Panasonic (Olympics), by managing and activating marketing platforms to ensure our clients receive maximum exposure and sustain strong brand awareness.  DSB believes these two events will boost the sports marketing industry in South America and we hope to become a major contributor in developing sports business for the continent.
